Have you listened to Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie”? Do you like it? My friends are split on it. Some were hoping for a club banger track in the vein of Britney Spears, while others welcomed the R&B-influenced track. As Nic said, “Britney follows trends, while Justin creates them.” LOL.

Personally, I love the verses and the chorus, but could do without the rap interlude by Jay-Z. Anticipation for Timberlake’s comeback was high enough that he didn’t need special guests to generate buzz. That said, overall I think it’s a solid track. It seems most people agree with me. JT is headed to a personal best by the time first week sales are tabulated. Find out exactly how much below.

Label sources predict “Suit & Tie” should sell over 300,000 units. Justin’s previous best was “SexyBack” back in 2006 with just 250,000. “Suit & Tie” is only the seventh song to sell over 300,000 units its first week. The current title holder is Taylor Swift who sold a whopping 623,000 downloads during its debut. Given that there wasn’t weeks of heavy promotion for its release, JT’s number is very impressive. If radio airplay increases, Timberlake’s latest could challenge for the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 which has been occupied by Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven” for several weeks. If Justin reaches pole position, it’ll become his sixth chart-topper.

Now that you’ve had a few days to listen to “Suit & Tie,” do you think it’s a worthy comeback? Is it too much like his older sound? Were you hoping for an electro-pop dance track? Sound off below.
