Top Albums & Digital Downloads Halfway Through 2013

With July now upon us, we’re officially halfway through 2013. It’s the perfect time to see which musical acts are moving the most albums and singles so far.

Not surprisingly, Justin Timberlake is top dog with regards to album sales. His third solo LP, The 20/20 Experience has sold over two million copies, by far the biggest-selling album of the year. In fact, he’s the only artist to sell over one million. His closest competitor is Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox, which stands at 985,000 copies sold. To be fair, Mars released his album in November 2012. It’s grand total is actually 1.5 million.

Meanwhile, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis dominate digital downloads. Not only do they have the top spot with “Thrift Shop,” but their follow-up, “Can’t Hold Us” lands at No. 6. Both singles have sold 5,558,000 and 3,129,000 respectively. Check out what other artists landed in the Top 10 on each list below.

2013 has been a very odd year in Music. Lol Most of all the big Songs have been really slow with Pink & Nate – Just give me A Reason, Rihanna- stay & Bruno Mars – When I was your man.
