Justin Olsen is on the American Olympic Men’s Bobsled team, and only started bobsledding three years ago after his mom encouraged him to give the sport a shot, after hearing about bobsled tryouts on the radio. Justin later joined Steve Holcomb’s four-man squad, dubbed the Night Train. He’s totally got the frat boy slash “All American” good looks, born & raised in San Antonio, Texas.
Here are some of his stats:
Born: April 16, 1987
Sport: Bobsled
Born & Raised: San Antonio, TX
Height: 6’2″
Weight: 235 lbs
During the first half of the 2008-09 World Cup season, his bobsled team (Night Train) earned one silver and two bronze medals. But, the Night Train’s biggest achievement came the following spring season when team members Olsen, Holcomb, Curt Tomasevicz, and Steve Mesler lead USA-1 to the first four-man World victory in half a century. In addition, for the first time in 17 years, they also claimed the four-man bobsled World Cup title as well as the overall 2010 World Cup crown. They are certainly a team to watch out for. How crazy is that – starting a sport and in three years being on the world’s best team?

It was only announced recently (10 days ago to be exact) on January 17th, 2010 that Olsen made the US team in the four-man event for the 2010 Winter Olympics. What a ride it must be for him – literally!
