Move over Katy Perry. Move over Jessica Simpson. There’s a new pitchman for Proactiv in town and his name is Justin Bieber. Joining an “illustrious long list of celebrities with complicated skin, Bieber is the newest face of the ubiquitous over-the-counter topical treatment for acne. Let’s face it, everyone has at one point seen these infomercials.
For years Judith Light (Who’s The Boss, Ugly Betty) was their exclusive celebrity spokesperson, and hosted several infomercials and segments on QVC. Then as wrinkles rather than adult acne became her biggest concern, other celebrities including Vanessa Williams, Julianne Hough, Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Aniston and many more stepped in.
We’ve often seen celebrities lend their name to various products oversees but sometimes not on American TV. Reason being, the Federal Trade Commission in the US requires that celebrities must use the products they endorse. Now we know the secret to Bieber’s baby smooth skin. Well that and the fact he’s only 16.
“I know that for a teenager, it doesn’t matter how many people are looking at you, you don’t want acne on your face,” Justin says. “I’m in the limelight all the time…I’m constantly doing interviews, constantly doing photo shoots and, you know, I’m determined to keep myself clear,”
There you have it. Proactiv’s newest commercial featuring the pint-sized singer. Confession time, I tried Proactiv years ago, but it didn’t really do anything for me for my occasional breakouts. I found other methods that worked. Having said that, there is one Homorazzi.com cast member that swears by it and uses it all the time. Care to make any guesses on who it is?

I much prefer inrofmative articles like this to that high brow literature.
