Surprise!!! Julie Andrews & Keanu Reeves Set To Appear In ‘Aquaman’ & ‘Toy Story 4’ Respectively

Talk about a couple of surprise casting news. Didn’t expect either of these, but I’m not hating them either.

First there’s Julie Andrews. Even though she decided not to film a cameo for Mary Poppins Returns, the 83-year-old legend chose to appear in another highly-anticipated flick that happens to open on the same weekend as the Mary Poppins sequel. Interesting! Entertainment Weekly reveals the Oscar winner is set to voice Karathen, a mythic undersea creature that holds the key to Arthur Curry’s (Jason Momoa) quest to unite the Atlantean and surface worlds.

“We wanted the Karathen to have the voice of a classic British actress, albeit somewhat digitally altered,” explained Aquaman producer Peter Safran. “And when we found out Julie was interested and available and excited to do it, casting her was a no-brainer.”

Then there’s Keanu Reeves who joins the Toy Story franchise. Tim Allen spilled the beans while visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “They really will surprise you with the toys they came up with,” Allen said. “Characters came back, new guys in it that are great. Keanu Reeves has got a great part.” Watch the video below to learn about Keanu’s character.

Do you plan on watching either Aquaman or Toy Story 4? Either of these casting developments surprise you? Weigh in below.
