Last night, Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosted SNL with musical guest Mumford & Sons and overall, I found it pretty mediocre. The opening monologue was awesome, with Levitt doing a little parody of Magic Mike and putting on a little strip show for the audience. I have to say, he’s turned into a man over the last couple years and he’s gotten very hot. I noticed this in The Dark Night Rises.
Other than that, I loved Weekend Update, as well as the following sketches: “Undecided Voter” (which made fun of uneducated voters), “My Daughter” (where Levitt was dressed in drag), and “Live with Kelly and Michael Cold Open,” where they made fun of the new host… and Kelly of course.
What did you guys think of the episode last night? It really made me miss Kristin Wiig. That being said, I’d say that Vanessa Bayer, Fred Armison, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader and Naseem Pedrad stood out as the strongest in the cast.
