It’s official. 2013 is definitely the year for boy band reunions. NKOTB dropped the wicked “Remix (I Like The)” and 98 Degrees banded together once again for “Microphone.” Coincidentally enough, both groups will join Boyz II Men for The Package Tour. Jonas Brothers are the latest to jump on the reunion bandwagon. Somewhere out there, Chris Kirkpatrick is sobbing like a baby that Justin Timberlake’s solo career is still going strong. “Bye Bye Bye” Kirkpatrick.
During their four year hiatus, eldest Kevin Jonas walked down the aisle. Joe Jonas dabbled in acting, dated Hollywood starlets and tried to make a go at a solo career. Meanwhile Nick Jonas transitioned from cute boy to sexy man. WOOF. Be sure to participate in our Marry, F-ck, Bitch Slap: The Jonas Brothers edition. My choices might surprise you *wink*.
“Pom Poms” is the lead cut from their upcoming fifth studio album. The brothers head to the field to film their video. Pretty much anything you can think of, they featured in the clip. A marching band and troupe of scantily-dressed cheerleaders were naturally included, but a gospel choir??? Interesting choice. Marc Klasfeld directed their comeback video. He’s previously worked with ‘N Sync (“Girlfriend”), Katy Perry (“Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”) and Rita Ora (“How We Do (Party)”). Cutest part of the video is Nick trying to do choreography during the boys versus girls dance-off. Definitely not a DWTS mirrorball contender.
What do you think of the track? It sorta has a Cee-Lo Green meets Drumline type of vibe, don’t you think? Sound off below.
