Johnny Galecki Officially Joins ‘Roseanne’ Revival

The final piece of the puzzle is finally in place. Johnny Galecki is officially reprising his role of David Healy for the Roseanne revival. Executive producer Whitney Cummings shared a photo of Galecki’s set chair via Instagram. Galecki also took to social media to announce his return with a pic of his name at the table read.

While it was hopeful Galecki would return, it wasn’t a sure thing due to his commitment to The Big Bang Theory on rival network CBS. He’s only slated for one episode, but you never know. Speaking of episodes, ABC must be pleased with the revival because it recently upped its original order to nine episodes from eight.

Galecki joins returning original cast members Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), John Goodman (Dan), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Michael Fishman (D.J.) and Lecy Goranson (Becky). Sarah Chalke, who played Becky in later seasons, will also appear but in another role. Like Will & Grace, the series original finale with the death of Goodman’s character Dan will be completely ignored.
