Jodie Foster earned her second Best Actress Oscar for The Silence of the Lambs. Over a quarter of a century later, the 55-year-old actress reprised her award-winning role of Clarice Starling for a skit that aired on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The spoof of the thriller finds Colbert stepping in for Anthony Hopkins to play Hannibal Lecter. Foster visits him in prison to ask questions regarding Robert Mueller’s probe into Trump’s ties to Russia. When Foster lists off the evidence the FBI has on Trump including The 12 indictments against Manafort and Gates, Flynn pleading guilty of Kremlin intermediaries reaching out to the Trump campaign etc…, Colbert hilariously responds “Seriously, you have that already? What do you need me for?”
