After Christmas Day & New Year’s Day falling on the weekend, it’s been a while since I’ve had a Sports Stud for you, so let’s bounce back into it with 26 year old NBA star, J.J. Redick. His name is actually Jonathan Clay Redick, but when he was a kid, his twin sisters repeated his original nickname of “J.” His middle name “Clay” came from the fact that his father was a stoneware Potter…but enough about his names.
Redick is a shooting guard for Orlando Magic, and is known for his free throw and three-point shooting for which he has set many records. Earlier this year, the Chicago Bulls signed him to a three year, $19 million offer sheet but The Magic matched the offer and kept him. Just this past December, the 6’4″ Magic-ian reached a career high with the Magic, scoring 29 points against Denver.
In his non-basketball related bio, when Redick was 21 years old and played for Duke University, he had a DUI which made national headlines. Moving away from that bad rap he had earned and just into rap in general, a year ago he announced the he’d be released a rap album under the group name “James Clay.” He’s still working on it, as nothing has been released to date. Earlier this year, he married longtime girlfriend Meghan Hardee.

Redick has made many “hottest NBA players” lists for his bedroom eyes and his “the better to kiss you with” lips.

The picture on the right circulated the internet pronto after it was taken, given that it’s pretty much the only shirtless photo of the NBA and future rap star. I wonder if he has any hidden tattoos…

Besides playing shooting guard, it looks like he’s versatile and comfortable with other positions as well.

Redick in a locker room interview and on the court, enjoying his “climax” of the game.

Average? Naaah? Good grief, he’s a star athlete! Unless and until Ahmed and Paolo can demonstrate anything remotely resembling Redick’s performance on the court, they should stifle the negativity. Somehow I doubt that they are anywhere near as stunningly fit as Redick is, not to mention handsome.
