To date, “Party In The USA” is Miley Cyrus’ biggest hit. The track peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 2009. As you might know, the summer hit was co-written by Claude Kelly and Jessica Cornish. The latter is better known as Jessie J. Kelly decided to release a short 30 second snippet of the demo recorded by Jessie with the following caption.

“in the studio with Jessie J reminiscing about how it ALL got started,” he wrote. “Pea, Moonhead and the incredible Coconut Man. this is the first song we ever did. i guess we did ok, right?”

Just in case you were wondering, Claude Kelly has worked on some of the biggest hits in the past few years. I’m sure some of them are your favorites. They include “My Life Would Suck Without You” (Kelly Clarkson), “Grenade” (Bruno Mars), “Brokenhearted” (Karmin) and naturally “Price Tag” (Jessie J). I like Jessie J, but I have to say that I prefer Miley’s version better. That said, since it’s only a short snippet and a demo, the comparison isn’t really all that fair. Listen to the track and make your own judgement. Check it out below.
