Unless he plans on resurrecting like Jesus Christ, it’s definitely not John Hammond. Sir Richard Attenborough, who played the character, died in 2014. The original Jurassic Park cast member that is returning is Jeff Goldblum, who played cocky mathematician, Dr. Ian Malcolm.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals Goldblum is returning to the land of dinosaurs. He’ll join Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s upcoming Jurassic World sequel. The 64-year-old actor previously appeared in 1993’s Jurassic Park and 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
Justice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones also star in the film. Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, wrote the script for the follow-up with Derek Connolly. Trevorrow will however pass on directing duties to J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls).
Excited to see Goldblum back in the dinosaur fold? Too bad Laura Dern and Sam Neill weren’t making it a full-on reunion. Weigh in below.
