For this week’s Who’d You Rather, I thought I’d pair up two singers who have actually been paired together before. I originally wanted to pair them together because they are practically carbon copies of each other, one in Canada and one in the US. Their music genres are very similar and so are their body types. Another selling feature is their ballin’, bad boy attitudes. Who doesn’t like a bad boy. These two paired up to create an anthem for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup titled Yalla Asia. I’ve provided the video below for you guys to check out. Enough about them together, let’s single them out and see what makes them so delicious.
Karl Wolf is a Lebanese-born Canadian singer who is currently based in Montreal. While Karl’s success may be vibrant in Canada and somewhat minimal in the US, Karl thrives overseas in Japan and the Middle East. His upcoming self-titled album will be released through his new record deal with Universal Music Canada. His newest single is titled Ghetto Love and features Kardinal Offishall.
Jay Sean is a British singer of Indian origin who now calls the US home. Jay Sean first found success in the Asian underground scene in the band Rishi Rich Project. Jay burst onto the US music scene with his single Down which topped the Billboard Hot 100. He was the first artist of South-Asian origin and first UK act to top this chart. Not an easy feat.
