Just noticed that Apple is now offering iPhone AppleCare in Canada! Eh!
Apple has offered this extended apple warranty in the USA since the device launched 2 years ago. However, in Canada apple hasn’t offered AppleCare support for the iPhone. That has now changed!
AppleCare is now available via the online store and can be purchased within the first year you’ve owned your phone. Check out this link to find out if you are still covered by the 1 year warranty. If your phone is still covered then you are eligible for the AppleCare extension.
Think seriously about buying the coverage before your standard warranty runs out. iPhone replacements are expensive and service work is pricey too. I have, within the first year I’ve owned my phone had it replaced due to problems with the vibrate switch, i don’t use a case and the switch get’s alot of wear and tear. Regardless, this was covered by the warranty and will be covered by applecare as well. The battery and headphones are covered too! I think it is a great value for $79.00!
Here’s what Apple writes on their website about AppleCare:
Get the most from your iPhone
Every iPhone comes with one year of hardware repair coverage through its limited warranty and up to 90 days of technical support.1 The AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone extends your coverage to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone. Whether you use iPhone with a Mac or a PC, just one phone call can help resolve most issues.
