Opening in theaters in the U.S. today is a thriller called Inescapable, starring Alexander Siddig, Joshua Jackson, and Marisa Tomei. The second official trailer has was also just released this week and you can check it out below.

Inescapable is is a political thriller about a father’s desperate search for his daughter and the chaos of the Middle East he left behind in his murky past. The film is set in Damascus in 2011. When his daughter, a photographer, goes to the Middle East to travel, she goes missing and it forces her father to back to the middle east to find her.

The film was directed by Ruba Nadda, an Arab Canadian film director from Montreal and this is her first thriller film. It has received mixed reviews so far but overall looks like it’s worth checking out. Watch the trailer below.
