Spike TV Debuts Trailer For ‘I Am Heath Ledger’ Documentary

Nine years after his tragic death, a new documentary takes an intimate look at the extraordinary life and career of Heath Ledger. It chronicles his rise from 10 Things I Hate About You and The Patriot to career-defining parts in Brokeback Mountain and Monster’s Ball. All of which, lead to his unforgettable performance in The Dark Knight which earned him a posthumous Oscar.

I Am Heath Ledger uses never-before-seen home videos shot by Ledger himself and interviews with his inner-circle, including family, friends and Hollywood colleagues such as Naomi Watts, Ben Mendelsohn, Emile Hirsch, director Ang Lee and more.

The 90-minute film will first debut at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 23 before arriving on Spike on May 17. It comes from filmmaker Derik Murray who also produced, I Am Chris Farley.
