It’s the end of the road for Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner at Hulu. The streaming service canceled the comedy Difficult People after three glorious seasons. Eichner took to Twitter to confirm the bad news for the show’s fans.
Yes it's true. DIFFICULT PEOPLE has come to an end. Thanks to many people but above all my friend, @julieklausner. A singular comedic voice & the funniest person I know. I cannot WAIT to see what Julie creates next. Thanks to all of you Difficult People out there who watched.??

Difficult People was a critical favorite, averaging a 92 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Klausner and Eichner starred as fictionalized versions of themselves living in New York City. The two struggling and jaded comedians seemingly hate everyone but each other. The series also starred Andrea Martin, James Urbaniak, Gabourey Sidibe and Cole Escola.
During its 28-episode run, the comedy boasted an incredible lineup of guest stars including Tina Fey, Nathan Lane, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kate McKinnon, Amy Sedaris, John Cho, Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler. The latter was also one of the executive producers on the show.
