‘True Blood’ Creator Takes On Trump’s America In HBO Series ‘Here And Now’

Alan Ball is the man behind Oscar Best Picture winner American Beauty, along with beloved television series Six Feet Under and True Blood. For his new offering, the 60-year-old producer tackles Donald Trump’s America. Here And Now follows a contemporary family dealing with issues in today’s tense climate. When one child of a multi-ethnic family begins to see things that others cannot, the entire family is tested.

“So much hatred going around,” Tim Robbins says in the clip. “It feels like the world is falling apart.”

Robbins and Holly Hunter headline the series and play parents to four children- three of which are adopted. Sosie Bacon plays their only biological child Kristen who is currently in high school. Their other kids are Ashley (Jerrika Hinton) an adoptee from Somalia now owner of a fashion website, Duc (Raymond Lee) originally from Vietnam and now a successful life coach and Ramon (Daniel Zovatto) a Colombian orphan now studying video game design in college

Here And Now kicks off its 10-episode first season Sunday, February 11. Check out the official trailer below.
