On February 12 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, the biggest names in music will gather to celebrate their year with the Grammys. During award season, this is definitely one of the shows (aside from the Oscars) that I look forward to the most. And rumor has it that one Mother Monster will be hitting the stage to give a performance I’m sure we won’t forget. I am hoping that she’ll be performing her next single in a crazy outfit with a crazy set.
I had a hunch that this might be coming when she performed the track during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, but a French music site is claiming that indeed, Heavy Metal Lover will be dropping shortly as Lady Gaga’s next single. Little Monsters rejoice! This is definitely one of my favorite tracks on the Born This Way record. I was super bummed when she passed it over for Marry The Night which slowly grew on me as the single gained momentum with that epic video.
I think that Heavy Metal Lover has potential to be a great finale single for Gaga before introducing a new album or embarking on a Born This Way Tour. On Perez Hilton’s new show, she mentioned to him that she would love to do a tour to support the album and would either call it The Born This Way Ball or call it the previous but tag on In The Electric Chapel. However, I think we’re already over this album and ready for some new material. Give a listen to Heavy Metal Lover below.

I hate that she’s burning through all these singles, but I’m looking forward to this. Government Hooker and Electric Chapel are the last 2 songs i could see ass successful singles after this, but I wouldn’t be holding my breath.

I overplayed the album when it first came out so I haven’t listened in awhile, and was hoping this was the song I was thinking of. Best opening lyric ever, hopefully the radio is kind to it.

Too late, it’s confirmed: there will be no more singles from Born This Way.
