In a galaxy far, far away, principal photography for the Star Wars standalone film about Han Solo began. With the main cast together for the first time, naturally the milestone had to be documented with a group photo.
The highly-anticipated film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge with Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. With exception for Newton, all the others appear in the photo above.
“Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous,” directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said in a statement. “We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”
Rogue One was the franchise’s first-ever attempt at a spinoff story on the big screen. And it was met with massive success. The stakes are even higher for this film because of Han Solo’s legendary icon status. If the film’s revenue doesn’t exceed Rogue One, it’ll definitely be considered a failure.
Excited for Han Solo’s origin story? The untitled film warps into theaters on May 25, 2018. Weigh in below.
