Now, this is what Haley Reinhart should’ve chosen as her first single. “Undone” is exactly the kind of music that I want from the 21-year-old singer. “Free“, the lead cut from her debut album, didn’t exactly burn up the charts. It stalled at No. 104 on the Billboard Hot 100. Currently, “Free” is being used on this season of So You Think You Can Dance, as the exit song when dancers are eliminated. Perhaps, it’ll get a second life on the charts, but I don’t foresee it. I highly encourage Reinhart to film the music video for “Undone” and start promoting the shizz out of it, as it has the potential to be her breakout single.
“Undone” is the second track from the American Idol Season 10′s album Listen Up!. It’s definitely one of my favorites from her LP and glad she chose it as her next single. During her time on Idol, she performed a killer cover of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep“. Once again, Reinhart channels her inner Adele to belt out this amazing ballad. It definitely could fit seamlessly on the Brit’s 21 album. It’s very Adele-esque.
For the lyric video, images and clips from Step Up 4: Revolution are used. That sexy Ryan Guzman and Kathryn McCormick show off their contemporary dance skills while Reinhart’s lyrics type across the screen. Check it out below.
What do you think? Do you think this could be Haley’s breakout hit? Have you bought her debut album? What are you favorite tracks? Sound off below.

They use images and clips from Step Up 4: Revolution because “Undone” was used in the movie. I think they released this lyric video because there is another one that claims to be the “official” lyric video that has over 160,000 views but gets some words wrong.
They haven’t yet committed to “Undone” being the next single. Momentum is building for it but Haley in her comments seems to prefer “Oh My.” She recently indicated they were debating which direction to go.
Haley performed “Oh My” live for the first time, rapping the part B.o.B does on the recorded version. This week, she performed it again but instead of rapping she sang a bridge she wrote for it after Lolla. At the same event, she also performed “Undone” live for the first time.
Haley sings great live. Here she is performing “Keep Coming Back” live for the first time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cglkb73QpCw
I’ve purchased Haley’s album. It’s good. The NYT calls Listen Up! “a taut album full of meaty, thickly arranged pop-soul” and declares it to be “convincing and fresh.”
The standard edition with 10 songs is a bargain at Amazon:

The deluxe edition contains 14 songs and is only available from iTunes and Walmart. “Spiderweb” is probably the most talked about song on the Deluxe edition.
Haley has co-writing credit on every song but “Free.”

Oops. The first line of the third paragraph of my initial comment should have said,

Im in love with her. Shes amazing. Her albums amazing and this shouldve been the first single. Believe it or not free is the only song from her album that i dont like which is funny bc it was the first single and the only song that she didnt co-write. I hope she gets the success and recognition she deserves. She is rediculously talented.
