The no-frills approach that Hailee Steinfeld and her team took for her “Most Girls” music video proves sometimes going simple is the best strategy. I actually like the empowering song more after watching the clip.
The Hannah Lux Davis-directed visual starts with a guy telling the 20-year-old singer that she’s not like most girls. Not pleased with that comment, the Pitch Perfect 2 actress then shows off her many sides. There’s a sporty Hailee, a nerdy alter ego, artsy persona and a glamorous one to boot. No matter what look she’s rocking, Steinfeld looks sensational. I especially like the end where she looks like she just stepped out of a Gap denim advert.
“Most Girls” hasn’t made an impact on the charts yet, but neither did “Love Myself” and “Starving” during their first few weeks of release. Hailee’s kind of a slow-burn artist. Have no doubt “Most Girls” will crack the Top 20 like its predecessors given time. Watch her latest music video below.
