‘Gringo’ Starring David Oyewolo & Charlize Theron Releases Red Band Trailer

An American corporation and the Mexican Cartel. Chances are this won’t end well. Based on the trailer, I’d say that’s a pretty accurate prediction.

Not only does Aussie filmmaker Nash Edgerton’s previously untitled action comedy officially have a name but it also just dropped a red band trailer. Gringo is a star-studded Amazon Studios movie headlined by David Oyewolo and Charlize Theron.

An exhilarating mix of dark comedy, white-knuckle action and dramatic intrigue, Gringo joyrides into Mexico, where mild-mannered businessman Harold Soyinka (Oyelowo) finds himself at the mercy of his back-stabbing business colleagues back home, local drug lords and a morally conflicted black-ops mercenary. Crossing the line from law-abiding citizen to wanted criminal, Harold battles to survive his increasingly dangerous situation in ways that raise the question: Is he out of his depth — or two steps ahead?

Joel Edgerton, Amanda Seyfried, Paris Jackson, Sharlto Copley and Thandie Newton also star. Gringo arrives March 9, 2018. Check out the trailer below.
