Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers are finally walking down the aisle. The happy couple announced their engagement on New Year’s Day via Instagram. The LA Galaxy soccer player and uber television producer have been dating since 2013. In February 2016, they welcomed their son Caleb via surrogate.
They shared the news with their Instagram followers using the same photo. Berlanti captioned the pic, “2016 was memorable for many reasons, for me it as the year my heart doubled in size. First, when my son Caleb was born. And second, a few days ago, when I got engaged to my soulmate. though I dreamed of both those things happening, i’m not sure I truly believed they were possible. Thanks to the friends and family who helped me find my way to this moment in my blessed life. a happy and healthy 2017 to all.”

Berlanti’s producer credits include Dawson’s Creek, Everwood, Brothers & Sisters, Blindspot and the entire CW DC Comics franchise. His next project Riverdale premieres on January 26. After briefly retiring from soccer, Robbie Rogers publicly came out as gay. The 29-year-old then signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy in May 2013, becoming the first openly gay male athlete to join MLS or any of the five major North American sports leagues.
Congrats to the happy couple. I expect my invite in the mail soon 😉
