The world is “a lonely place, but a fascinating lonely place,” according to Grace Jones. The trailer for the documentary about the legendary nightclubbing icon has surfaced. The world premiere of Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami will kick off the Toronto International Film Festival’s Docs section on September 7.
Director Sophie Fiennes takes moviegoers into the public and private worlds of the “Pull Up to the Bumper” singer, “contrasting musical sequences with intimate personal footage,” according to Deadline. Filmed over the course of a decade, the documentary offers a stylish and unconventional look at the Jamaican-born model, singer, and New Wave icon.
In addition to her music, Jones is best known for her collaborations with designer Jean-Paul Goude and her role as a Bond villainess in 1985’s A View To Kill. Check out the docu trailer below.
