If you’re like me and can’t wait to get your first look of Miss Linnethia Monique Johnson Leakes on “Glee“, then boy, are you in luck. Don’t get too excited just yet though. I’m going to cock NeNe tease you and hold off showing pics of her as Roz Washington for just a few more moments.
When the Fox musical returns from Christmas break, not only will it feature the Real Housewife’s debut but also an homage to one of the most beloved musicals of all time, “Grease“. The episode titled, “Yes/No“, filmed the “Grease” numbers at the actual high school posing as Rydell High in the classic film. Just in case you were wondering, it’s Venice High School located in western LA. Check out a few pics of them Rama Lama Ding Dong’ing at the iconic location below.

How cute are the Asians are having a picnic. But where’s the rice, spring rolls, and other tasty goodies? I love me some rice.

How funny is it that Kurt isn’t included with Danny Zuko (Sam) and the T-Birds? Obviously, he’ll be a “Pink Lady“. Like there was ever any doubt.

I love the fact that Mercedes looks like she’ll be playing the Sandy to Sam’s Danny. Choosing Finn and Rachel would’ve been the obvious choice, plus hasn’t Berry already worn skintight black pants when Kurt sabotaged her during his makeover of her? PS. How hilarious does Sugar Motta look in the background? I hope they establish her character a bit more. That one is definitely a hidden gem.

If I was Sam, my knees would totally be knocking. Looks like NeNe has “broughten” her signature “I’m going kick your ass” stare to the set. I.CAN.NOT.WAIT. to see what this scene is all about.
Leakes’ appearance will mark the beginning of several high-profile guest stars on the show. Remember when Ryan Murphy promised no tribute episodes and huge guest stars this season? Well, a Michael Jackson tribute episode is coming along with some high-wattage star power. Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Pitbull and Oscar winner Helen Mirren are all dropping by in one form or another when “Glee” returns in 2012. I’m definitely looking forward to all of them and then some. Bring it on, Murphy. Bring it on.

hi donovan, i read your posts. i think you can do a better job with the asian caption. if you want to continue to point out the typecasting tokenization Glee repeatedly does, i think you can do a better job. otherwise, good entry

@carven I see your point but truth be told… that’s what I grew up bringing to picnics. No stereotyping there. And it’s like the N word with African Americans. I can say “rice” cuz I’m asian. right @tyrell
