The second season of “The Glee Project” is less than a month away which means it’s time for Oxygen to start promoting it. We’ve already met the 14 contestants vying for a coveted guest starring role on “Glee” next season. This year’s group is an eclectic bunch which include visually impaired, paralyzed and transgendered competitors. Now that we know who they are, it’s time to hear what these people have in terms of vocal ability. Not surprisingly, a few of them didn’t match up to what I had envisioned them to sound like.

To showcase all 14 individuals’ vocal talents, the producers filmed them covering one of the music industry’s most influential artists. Last year, “The Glee Project” cast performed Katy Perry’s “Firework“. This time around, the crew sang Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory”. Even though, I’m not a huge fan of “Firework”, I much preferred last year’s group collaboration on that track. That being said, the new class do a solid performance on “Edge of Glory“. Watch a clip of it below.

Unfortunately, the full clip is only available over at EW.com. But I was able to find a short teaser to embed. Among the 14 hopefuls, I already have a few standouts including Abraham, Blake, Nellie and Ali. Last year, I immediately noticed Damian McGinty and knew he’d score a spot on “Glee”. Hopefully, my track record continues with my early picks.
