The episode, in terms of storyline, sucked major balls, but boy did Glee slay it with a couple of the performances. Watching Kurt’s Madonna cover band tackle one of my favorite hits from Madge was fantastic. If Lea Michele’s solo career doesn’t pan out, she should really consider forming a modern day S Club 7 with Adam Lambert, Naya Rivera, Demi Lovato and Chris Colfer. I could watch the five of them perform all night long.

As wonderfully enjoyable as that number was, my favorite of the night, and perhaps this season so far, was Janet Jackson’s “Nasty” and “Rhythm Nation” mashup. Once again, the show nailed iconic choreography from a classic music video. Jacob Artist was everything during it. If at all possible, he looked even sexier than usual. I can honestly say, he’s my favorite guy on the show currently. I’m sorta crushin’ hard on him these days.

As an aside, I really hope Ryan Murphy dedicates an entire episode to Janet before Glee signs off forever. Whitney, Madonna, Billy Joel and Lady Gaga have all had tribute episodes. Queen and Britney even had two. I think it’s about time Miss Jackson gets some loving too, like her brother Michael. Don’t you agree? Check out the wicked good Janet number below, along with all the performances including “The Fox” which was, I hate to admit it, kinda adorable.
