A Valentine’s Day-themed episode actually airing on February 14! Timing doesn’t get any better than that. Expect Ryan Murphy and company to inundate you with plenty of over-the-top romantic gestures. It’s only been four seasons in the making, but Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays) finally tie the knot. There isn’t a grander gesture than saying “I do.” Appropriately enough, that’s the title of this week’s Glee episode.
Love isn’t just reserved for the adults, but it also trickles down to the young cast as well. With everyone coming back to Lima for the big event, does this mean Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) rekindle their romance? I hope not. I’m not ready to say goodbye to gratuitous shots of Brody (Dean Geyer) just yet.
Speaking of cuties, my new favorite, Jake (Jacob Artist) decides to serenade his valentine based on his buddy Ryder’s (Blake Jenner) advice. Jake duets with Marley (Melissa Benoist) on Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s “You’re All I Need to Get By.” Love that track. Method Man and Lauryn Hill’s cover of it during the 90s is one of my all-time favorite hip-hop collaborations. Check out Jake & Marley’s duet below, along with a couple of clips from Glee’s Valentine’s Day episode.
