Madonna Slams Boy Scouts In Her GLAAD Speech & Presents Award To Anderson Cooper

Last night in NYC, the 2013 GLAAD Awards took place and Madonna took to the stage to present the Vito Russo Award to Anderson Cooper. The superstar was dressed as a boy scout and slammed the organization for their ridiculous rule.

Madonna spoke about equality and in the world, we can not use religion or God to justify acts of violence, hate and discrimination in the world. “I don’t know about you, but I can’t take this sh*t anymore,” she said.

Madonna then transitioned into her introduction for Anderson Cooper and the work that he’s done for the work he has done to promote equality and for how brave he has been in that regard. “You stand up for the rights of others, and you say ‘This is who I am, like it or not. Love me or leave me, but I’m never gonna stop.‘”Watch both Madonna’s speech and Anderson’s acceptance speech below. It’s definitely worth watching.
