Had I written this post yesterday as I intended, the answer to that question would be “yes.” Today though, it’s a big maybe.

While promoting the Blu-ray release of The Heat, director Paul Feig revealed that he’s working on a same-sex romantic comedy. Word got out that Channing Tatum was attached to the project. As it turns out, his casting was merely his dream casting. The film would would focus on an average guy who winds up in an relationship with someone extremely handsome, say People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive?

Reportedly, the movie was originally envisioned as a straight romcom featuring Melissa McCarthy and Jon Hamm in the lead roles. The gay version seems much more appealing, right? Find out who the Bridesmaids director has in mind to play the “average” guy below.

John Milhiser is his name. John who, you ask? He’s one of the new featured players added to this season of Saturday Night Live. Don’t you think Tatum and he would make a cute couple? With Alex Pettyfer playing a gay action hero, it only makes sense for Channing to jump aboard the gay bandwagon. Fingers crossed. Sound off below.
