Garrett Hedlund Talks Dating Kristin Dunst In Details Editorial

Forget Mary, there’s something about Garrett Hedlund. The 28-year-old actor isn’t the most handsome guy in Hollywood nor has the best body, but he has this aura that’s just irresistible. Not going to lie, I have a big ol’ homosexual crush on the guy. Even though my posts on Hedlund don’t garner the most hits, I’m going to keep plugging him til he’s huge.

Details magazine enlisted the Tron: Legacy actor to model the hottest looks for their Spring preview issue. Photographer Mark Seliger snapped the Minnesota native for the February 2013 cover and inside fashion spread. He also sat down with the publication to discuss his aspirations of being a writer. Hedlund even shared a sample of his original poetry: “Everything you ever knew seems to slowly be forgotten. All the good nights are just nights, all the good mornings are just mornings, all the dots in the sky are the same dots you’ve been looking at all your life.”

Check out a few photos of Garrett along with quotes from his accompanying interview. He describes an early date with girlfriend Kristen Dunst (Bring It On). By the sounds of it, their relationship plays like a romantic comedy. Find out why below.

On Dating Kristen Dunst

“I took her out on a 3 a.m. canoe ride. It was not a stable canoe. We fell out and had to swim back in mucky, shitty water, like golf-pond water.”

On Writing Down His Thoughts

“I spill it out as fast as I can. I don’t really edit. In Brazil, recently, I wrote 70 pages. In London, 80 pages.”

On Being A Closet Bookworm

“I’d hang out at the Borders Bookstore until it closed and then I would stick the book back on the shelf until the next day. That was safe. No one was going to buy three copies of [Charles] Bukowski’s Tales of Ordinary Madness by the next afternoon.”

On Picking Movie Projects

“I just really wanted to do things that could make me proud or be emotional.”

why do actors and celebrities insist on sticking cigarettes in their face with the aim to look cool or portray being ‘artistic’ … it’s a disgusting habit that traps young people into a lifetime of health issues … these people need to grow some conscience ‘balls’ and realize the effect that they have on culture

@Craig: That’s a little unfair, I think. It’s more of the fault of the photoshoot’s creative director rather than Garrett’s.
