Diversity has always been the name of the game with GAP. The San Francisco-based retailer keeps that tradition alive with their latest advert. “Bridging The Gap” is not only socially conscious but also celebrates effortless American style.
“Gap is a quintessentially American brand and we strive to embody all of America in everything we do,” said Gap’s chief marketing officer, Craig Brommers. “‘Bridging the Gap’ is about showing the many faces of what it means to be an American and bringing all of those sides together.”
Priyanka Chopra and Jonathan Groff rock the brand’s signature jeans and white tops while belting out the 1966 hit “Sunny” from Bobby Hebb. They’re joined by Jasmine Sanders, Alek Wek, Fernanda Ly, Ellen Rosa, Casil McArthur, Wiz Khalifa, Adwoa Aboah, Lineisy Montero, Yara Shahidi, Maria Borges, Miles Chamley-Watson and legendary supermodel Christie Brinkley.
Newly-appointed Vogue UK Editor-in-chief Edward Enninful directed the clip and cast and styled the models. The Ghanaian-born is the first gay male to hold the esteemed position. Check out his vision below.
