Adam Lambert Joins FOX ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ Remake

Adam Lambert better dust off all that mascara he hasn’t been rocking the past few years. It’s going to come in handy for his new gig.

The 33-year-old was one of the names being considered to play Frank-N-Furter memorably played by Tim Curry. That role eventually went to Orange Is The New Black‘s Laverne Cox. It appears that the American Idol Season 8 runner-up will be part of the Rocky Horror Picture Show remake after all.

Lambert is that latest marquee name to join FOX’s remake. He’ll play Eddie, “the rock-n-roll loving, ex-delivery boy, who emerges at Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s on a motorcycle and crashes the party.” Meatloaf played the part in the original 1975 film.

“I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was okay to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!” – Adam Lambert

Lambert and Cox will join Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan who will play Janet and Brad- the roles made famous by Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick. The two-hour TV event, which will not be live, will air sometime this Fall. Excited that Lambert has joined the cast? Weigh in below.
