Which Woman Is The World’s Highest Paid Musician In 2018?

Before we get to who made the Top 10 list, let’s quickly discuss who didn’t. Sorry Selenators and Arianators, but your respective divas Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande didn’t rake enough cash. Neither did Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Madonna or Halsey. Better luck next year I guess.

Just making the cut was Britney Spears who eked in at No. 10 with $30 million, just behind Celine Dion who snatched No. 9 with $31 million. A few million later and we get Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez with $37.5 million and $47 million at No. 7 and No. 6 respectively.

Cracking the Top 5 was Lady Gaga with a whopping $52 million. In a bit of a surprise, Pink lands at No. 4 with $52 million. Then comes Beyoncé with $60 million.

I fully expected Taylor Swift to snatch the top slot, but she just missed it and had to settle for No. 2 with $80 million.

That just leaves Katy Perry who reigns supreme with $83 million. The publication credits her American Idol salary plus her Witness tour receipts as to why she’s on top. The 34-year-old singer previously topped Forbes list back in 2015.

Figures are for pretax earnings from June 1, 2017, through June 1, 2018, before deducting fees for agents, managers, lawyers and estate executors. Sources include Nielsen SoundScan, NPD BookScan, insider interviews and Forbes estimates.
