After some time away, Florence + The Machine reemerged last month and dropped “Sky Full Of Song” without any warning or promotion. The English indie rock band just shared another track. Both will be included on their upcoming fourth studio album High As Hope out June 29.
Frontwoman Florence Welch took to Instagram to explain the story behind “Hunger.” She reveals it started out as a poem and was never meant to be a song. Glad she changed her mind, because the upbeat track is everything I love about the group. For me, it’s their best song in ages and reminds me why I fell in love with them in the first place.
Check out the “Hunger” music video below, along with Welch’s insight about the track.
