I’m still trying to cool down from their “TopBrazil” clip. How about you? The electroclash duo’s latest visual isn’t NSFW like its predecessor but it’s equally as homoerotic. Fischerspooner has definitely done it again.
“Butterscotch Goddam” features Johnny Magee and is lifted off the act’s album, Sir, out now. It’s the group’s first album in nearly a decade and was entirely produced by Michael Stipe of R.E.M. fame. The accompanying music video was directed by Carlo Van de Roer. He explained the narrative to NME.com.
“The song is about a tumultuous love affair,” director Carlo Van de Roer told NME. “We shot the video entirely in-camera, using optical devices and new film-making tools to play with the push and pull of a dichotomous relationship, and the accumulating distortion of reality that comes with that.”
Along with Casey Spooner and Magee, the clip also features James Whiteside, Robert Vail, Aaron Hooper and Thomas Gibbons. Check it out below.
