“Who said I was an angel?” they repeatedly sing on the chorus. The girls are clearly sending a statement that they’re a little more devilish than people think. While “Down” sounded like their smash “Work From Home,” their latest is less poppy but more brassy.
“Angel” is the second taste off their forthcoming LP, following “Down.” It was offered as an instant grat with the pre-order of the group’s self-titled album arriving on August 25. The number is more hip-hop influenced with its trap-lite production courtesy of Skrillex and Poo Bear. Overall, I’m sold. I like the new direction the foursome are going. Check it out below.
