With reboots of Spider-Man, Batman and X-Men doing well at the box office and this summer’s upcoming Superman Man of Steel looking like a winner, it’s only natural movie studios are looking for the next one.

20th Century Fox’s reboot of The Fantastic Four franchise is officially a go. Production will begin in Vancouver beginning in June. Josh Trank (Chronicle) has been tapped to direct the film featuring a script penned by Seth Grahame-Smith (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies). Matthew Vaughn (Snatch and X-Men: First Class) will serve as producer. The reboot, with the working title Henry Street, is tentatively scheduled to hit theaters on March 6, 2015.

The Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer both grossed in the neighborhood of $300 million worldwide. As with most reboots, I highly doubt any of the returning cast will make appearances. Although a cameo from Chris Evans as the Human Torch would be nice.

With filming set to begin in a couple of months, I fully expect casting announcements from the studio in the next few weeks. At least I hope so, if they want to begin filming in June as scheduled. Who do you think should play the superheroes? Would you watch a Fantastic Four reboot? Sound off below.
