It’s another day here at Homorazzi.com with another swimwear review. ES Collection is a premium apparel line based in Barcelona that provides stylish, comfortable and sexy swimsuits with a European flair to the masses. During Brian and my trip to Europe earlier this year, I first became exposed to this line of swimwear while shopping at boutiques in Paris’ Marais District.

Normally, I would’ve never noticed a random swimwear line that I had never heard of, but since we were in one particular store for a long period of time (Thanks Kevin for taking your sweet ass time picking out jeans), I had time to browse the store. The insanely hot propaganda highlighting the line also attributed to me noticing the swimwear.

As I got closer to the product, what struck me most, was the quality of their trunks and briefs. The material wasn’t flimsy, but rather durable and made with great tailoring. ES Swimwear is a bit pricey, but it’s definitely worth it. These are bathing suits that will last you a longtime, while complementing your junk and your trunk nicely.

SAILOR SHORT

I selected my trunks because they were fun and different from other suits I already own. I love fun swim trunks, but I don’t dawn this kind of suit often as I feel the appropriate beach, boat, or pool is a requirement. My closest beach will not be seeing me in this suit, as it is more of a board shorts crowd and it is a shame as it has some of the prettiest people based on it’s top three ranking in North America. When the suit arrived I heard it happened to have a little bit of enhancement which I wasn’t expecting. Luckily, the odd pad type piece is removable as I don’t plan on using it. However, the pad is intriguing, I think it enhances, but may more so hide any outlines of the goods. Personally, I feel padding the shorts is dangerous as I don’t know what you’d do if you got caught false advertising, but then again, I guess that is common gay behaviour. I was a little worried about fit since the shorts were ordered online, but I think I made the right choice. The shorts look great and somehow seem to keep my booty covered. They are a lot less flimsy then most speedo type shorts I have worn or tired on. I am very excited for their debut! Homorazzi cast member, Dave

ZIPPER -ES- PANT

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these. Out of all the trunks I’ve tried out recently, these are one of my favorites. They come in purple/white, black/white and forest/white combinations. They’re the perfect middle ground between board shorts, booty shorts and bikinis. You look sexy without being in-your-face provocative and on display. Made from 100% polyester, thus providing a light-weight feel and durability. Unlike most bathing suits, they provide a good size pocket on the left side to store any waterproof goodies you need to keep on you, like credit cards, keys or ID. Like all of ES Collections’ swimwear, the drawstring is finished with small cylinder ends that prevent the drawstring from getting lost within the waistline. BASIC -ES- ROCKY SHORT

The Rocky Short is very similar to the Zipper ES Pant in terms of fit, but are very different in two respects. For one, the Rocky doesn’t have a zipper pocket in the front but rather a back pocket on your right cheek. They too are made from 100% polyester providing the same comfort and feel as the Zipper Pant, but cover a little less or your legs. They’re roughly an inch shorter therefore creating a higher tan line. I ordered the white short with blue piping, but they come in an array of other color combinations. Be adventurous and try out some of the more colorful options. You’ll be sure to stand out in a good way on the beach or poolside. Homorazzi cast member, Topher

SPORTIVE BRIEF -ES- COLLECTION

As you’ve guessed it by now, I’m the brief swimwear guy on the site. Not knowing much about this brand, I had little to no expectation in terms of quality. When my green/white briefs arrived, I was immediately impressed. First off, the green was a great choice, it wasn’t a gross green but rather a rich emerald green which perfectly complemented the white accents. This pair, like the ones Dave reviewed above, have a removable foam padding in the crotch area. Whether its primary intention is to enhance your bulge or hide visible penis lines, I’m not sure. The leg holes a little small for my bigger-than-normal thighs but the elasticity hugs my legs comfortably once pulled up. My biggest beef sometimes with briefs is the butt coverage is less than flattering or simply non-existent. The Sportive brief enhances my booty while leaving a sense of mystery. No one needs to view my butt cheeks in public. Homorazzi cast member, Brian

LONG JOHN COUNTRIES

I don’t know if it was the fabric or the cut, but these shorts got me laid this weekend! Sporting the “FRA” option of these trunks to demonstrate my french pride, these babies are tight in all the right places. A deep black material, there wasn’t any unnecessary showing off of parts while soaked that would have got me arrested, though there was certainly some package peacocking going on! I went for the medium and while I purport to have a “swimmer’s” build, the truth is that if your legs are anything past “average” in size you are gonna have to go for the large cause these things are QUITE tight in the thigh. Though that works great for me and the rest of my twink brethren, those with more built legs might be S.O.L. or lookin’ for sizes bigger than they usually sport. The length is a bit longer than the bootie typical for the gay boys this year, I like the olympic look they’re matching as you feel like Michael Phelps (without the ears hopefully) when you climb/squeeze into ‘em! They washed great and look just as fresh the morning after and will be accompanying me on a cruise this summer for SURE. Homorazzi cast member, Adam

BACK ZIPPER DON´T

Even though no one received these easy-access booty briefs, I thought it was worth mentioning. While it takes a very special confident individual person to wear these in public, they can be very sexy when worn by the right person. Doesn’t the picture above just ooze sex appeal. I know if any of my friends wore these in public, the rest of us would spend the majority of the day playing around and unzipping them. Would you wear them?

OVERALL REVIEW

As the person who unpacked them all and inspected the swimwear, I 100% stand behind their quality and durability. If you follow the washing directions carefully, your purchased ES Collection swimwear should last you a few summers. Even though the ones we reviewed here are solid colors, they offer a multitude of graphic prints ranging from mod-inspired prints to paisley-themed ones. If you really want to stand out amongst the sea of gays at the next pool party or pride function, definitely consider adding one of ES Collection’s many styles to your swimwear arsenal.
