Emma Bunton Debuts Retro-Tinged Single ‘Baby Please Don’t Stop’

Just because she’s reuniting with her Spice Girls this summer, that doesn’t mean Emma Bunton is neglecting her solo career. Baby Spice plans to spice things up on her own with her new album My Happy Place which arrives on April 12.

“The reason I called the album My Happy Place is because my happy place is with my family, with my friends, listening to music and being in the studio. All those things came together on this album. While recording it my kids came to the studio, my friends came down, my mum listened to every song over and over again. Being in the studio I just feel so happy,” Bunton reveals about the album’s title.

Baby Please Don’t Stop” is the first taste off her fourth studio album. Produced by Paul Barry and Patrick Mascall, the track is described as a “smooth slice of sixties-styled pop.”

It’s actually one of two original songs featured on the 10-track LP. The other eight will be cover versions of Emma’s favorite tracks including a re-worked version of the Spice Girls classic “2 Become 1” featuring Robbie Williams.
