Eminem & Beyoncé Address Insecurities On Rap Ballad ‘Walk On Water’

Even more surprising than the fact Eminem and Beyoncé dropped a surprise single, is that it’s a rap ballad and not a full-on banger. Honestly, I was a little disappointed it wasn’t an uptempo track, but within seconds I fell in lurve. The hook is a massive earworm. Couldn’t stop replaying Bey’s chorus in my head.

“I walk on water / But I ain’t no Jesus / I walk on water / But only when it freezes / Cause I’m only human, just like you / Making my mistakes, oh if you only knew”, sings Beyoncé

On his verses, the Detroit native raps about his various insecurities and doubts while penning a new track. The scribbling notes effects are on point. In the end, Eminem finds his confidence and declares his greatness. Love the last line, “Bitch, I wrote Stan.

Walk On Water” was written by Eminem, Beyoncé and Skylar Grey. It’ll be included on the 45-year-old rapper’s upcoming album, Revival. Expect Slim Shady to perform his new single on Saturday Night Live November 18. I have no doubt Bey will join him on stage. Check out “Walk On Water” below.
