Ed Sheeran & Andrea Bocelli Team Up For ‘Perfect’ Symphony Version

Dayum, Ed Sheeran is really milking his latest single. Just two weeks ago, the 26-year-old English singer premiered a version featuring Beyoncé. He just dropped another rendition of the hit ballad but with the incredible Andrea Bocelli as his duet partner. Dare I say, I might love this version more 🙂

Dubbed the “Perfect Symphony,” the new version features a more orchestral arrangement. Sheeran and Bocelli’s vocals sound absolutely heavenly over the angelic strings.

Speaking of the 59-year-old tenor, I’m glad he sang his parts in his native tongue and not in English. It gives it a more romantic vibe. Sheeran even attempts to sing some lines in Italian.

I wonder if Sheeran came up with the idea of this duet in hopes of securing the U.K.’s coveted Christmas No. 1 spot. If so, he’s savvier than I thought. The strategy certainly worked in the US. The Beyonce version propelled “Perfect” to the top, giving Ed his second Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 of his career.

A music video featuring the two singers laying down their tracks has also premiered. Sheeran trekked to Tuscany to record in the same room with Bocelli. I have a feeling for his Bey collabo, both artists recorded their vocals in separate recording studios. Just a hunch. Check out the clip below and weigh in on Sheeran’s latest “Perfect” remix.
