If you’re a millennial, you probably have fond memories watching Dora The Explorer growing up. For me, the adventurous teen reminds me of campaigns I used to work on for a kids website. When things got so stressful, I bought a Dora pinata for my team and we beat it silly 😉
Paramount Pictures just debuted the first trailer for its live-action Dora The Explorer flick. It stars Isabela Moner as the titular character, along with Eugenio Derbez, Michael Peña, Eva Longoria, and Danny Trejo.
Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora (Moner) for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Derbez), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Longoria, Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold arrives August 2. Check out the trailer below. It feels like a family-friendly teen Tomb Raider.
