Say what? Donovan is actually writing a “Behind The Cast” post. It’s true. I know I’ve been MIA doing these posts for a few months now. During my recent trip to Europe, I decided I’m going to make a more concerted effort to write a couple of these posts at least twice a month. If you think not writing these personal posts are bad, you should see my backlog of photos yet to be published.
There used to be a time when I would go out on a single night and wake up the next morning to see 150 pictures on my camera taken from the night before. Then before I would have breakfast, these pictures would be up on Facebook faster than Tiger Wood’s picks up another hooker. My friends used to call me the photo Nazi since I had no problems uploading unflattering and embarrassing pictures of them. But as time wore on, the number of pictures I snapped dwindled and the frequency I shared photos became rare.
Just days before I left for Europe, I bumped into my friend, Geoff at a restaurant’s opening party. We chatted about seeing a trend of friends not sharing their personal pics as often as they did previously. Was this movement just localized to our group of friends or was this a more global phenomenon. Not really sure. All I know is, for me I stopped as I felt people (except creepy stalkers) didn’t really care to look at pictures from the weekend’s debaucherous events or my vacations with my boyfriend,Brian.
In the past couple of weeks, my friends have urged me to start uploading pics again on my Facebook account and on Homorazzi.com. During our more recent Homorazzi meeting, my fellow cast members also relayed the same sentiment. Having heard all this feedback, I decided to catch up on publishing my photos. Since tagging, editing, selecting pictures is an arduous task and considering my backlog of photos, catching up would not be an easy feat.
Before leaving for my trip to Los Angeles this week to hang out with Alex, I was able to only upload pictures from July 2009 to September 2009. YUP. That’s how far behind I was. If you want to check out some of my photos and see what I was up to during this time, head on over to our photo gallery.
Here’s a rundown of the events taking place in each album.

JULY 2009: Brian and Donovan Head to San Francisco for a Weekend. Patrick, Topher and Donovan attend a LMFAO concert. Click here to view.

AUGUST 2009: Cast Member Kevin Moves to Toronto. Adam and Donovan Celebrate a Friend’s Birthday (Brady) in Portland. Click here to view now.

SEPTEMBER 2009: Cast Member Dan’s Birthday in Seattle. Topher’s Moving to Amsterdam Party. Girl Talk Concert with Adam, Topher, Brian and Donovan. Cast Member Stephen’s Birthday in Vancouver. Click here to view now.
Hopefully, you enjoy taking a peak in our personal lives. Stayed tune in a couple of weeks to check out my next batch of photos. Til then, have a good one.

I love looking at the pics… it gives even me a glimpse of how people see us through pictures.

Donovan, I am exactly like you, the camera person who is always behind on the pics also. I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves bc i dont post pics until they are nicely edited, color in check, contrast in check, etc. thats why it takes so much time! Ive jumped ship to videos now bc youtube uploading is just faster, and the footage is more lively. Editing does take a lot of time and often your friends don’t even realize it aka under appreciate all your hard work! but i know what you go through haha. maybe post all the raw pics on flickr or something without editing it or just editing a few special ones that were the best! or jump ship to video making! ;P

I love your pics but I’m with bruin make it easier on yourself. Btw, you are a great photographer! Maybe instead of captions just post a recap for the album? Just a suggestion.
Keep up the great work. Love the site!
