After months of rumors, Rachel McAdams confirmed her participation in Marvel’s next hotly-anticipated comic book adaptation. The 36-year-old actress did so during an interview with The Wrap at the Toronto International Film Festival.
When pressed about her role specifically in Doctor Strange, she joked she’d probably be in trouble if she revealed more. Those Marvel people would probably take her out in a heartbeat for doing so 😉
The film will most likely be an origin story of how neurosurgeon Stephen Vincent Strange became the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats after a horrific accident.
McAdams joins Benedict Cumberbatch who’s taking on the titular role. Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor are also on board playing the Ancient One and Baron Mordo respectively. Reportedly, filming will begin in November with a release date of November 4, 2016 in mind. Watch McAdams’ brief confirmation below.
