Porn Star Who Tested Positive For HIV Speaks Out

Earlier this year, the porn industry shut down when “Patient Zeta” tested positive for HIV. Now, this porn star has come forward to speak out. His name: Derrick Burts, who did straight porn films under the name Cameron Reid and gay porn films as Derek Chambers.
Burts is claiming that the he must have contracted the virus while doing oral scenes as Derek Chambers, since the only sex he had in his private life was with his girlfriend (who is also in porn and tested negative for HIV). But this all seems fishy…
The Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation, the organization that does mandatory testing for the straight porn industry and tracks HIV transmission, concluded that the virus he contracted would have happened in a non-professional setting, as all of the people he had sex with on set tested negative. Condoms do not protect against everything, so wrong..the issue is about testing…among other behaviors. The reason people are contracting diseases is not failure to use condoms (because if neither person A or person B has a disease, they can fuck all day and night and a disease won’t just spontaneously emerge) In reality, people are getting diseases is because they either don’t test at all, don’t get tested PROPERLY (i.e taking into account window periods) or are just careless. People in general are just quite irresponsible when it comes to sex, letting hormones run the show. Condoms are merely a band-aid solution to the actual problem.

It should also be said however that some people with sexual diseases acquired them by force or by choice.

I don’t wish this disease on anyone… but am I supposed to feel bad? He chose a risky industry to be in, he chose to be promiscuous. Sometimes you gamble and you lose.
