The 2017 MTV EMAs featured plenty of memorable performances including one by Demi Lovato. She belted out her smash hit “Sorry Not Sorry” for the raucous crowd and looked stunning during it.
In a much more intimate setting, the 25-year-old singer delivered a stripped-down version for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. And it was equally as engaging, if not more so. During her set, Lovato also resurrected “Skyscraper” and gave it a similar low-key rendition.
However, the most notable performance during her time at BBC Radio 1 was her rendition of Sam Smith’s ballad “Too Good At Goodbyes.” She did a solid job but if I had one criticism, I wish she had learned the lyrics prior. Had she just belted out the tune, instead of referring to the sheet of paper occasionally, I feel her cover would’ve been sensational. She could’ve lost herself in the emotion.
