Harry Potter no more. Daniel Radcliffe trades his Hogwarts schoolboy uniform and signature glasses for Gucci, Hermes and other designer threads for his new photo spread snapped by Kai Z Feng for OUT magazine. Someone’s gone all high-fashion on us.

In addition to showing off his couture side, the 23-year-old actor talks about life after Harry Potter. Specifically, his much-buzzed about performance in Kill Your Darlings. Ever since the film about gay writer Allen Ginsberg debuted at Sundance, conversation has been all about the explicit gay love scenes. Here’s what Radcliffe told OUT regarding all the controversy.

“You never see a gay actor getting asked what it’s like to play straight — to my knowledge, at least, there is no difference in how heterosexual and homosexual people fall in love.” – Daniel Radcliffe

One of the highlights from the interview include talk between director John Krokidas and his boyfriend. Krokidas was worried that Radcliffe wasn’t Jewish (down there), but his BF informed him that, “Of course he’s Jewish — everyone in the world knows that. Didn’t you see the shots from Equus? He’s only British from the waist up.” LOL. Love it. Check out a couple of photos and other quotes from his interview below.

On Moving On From Harry Potter

“I’ve always said that it’s a long process, and in a way it may be a lifelong one. It’s about proving to people that I’m in this for the long haul, and that I wasn’t just looking to get as famous as I could for as long as I could and ride that out. I love almost every aspect of this industry and I want to be in it, and if I could drop dead on a film set at 80, that’s how I’d want to go.”

On Playing Allen Ginsberg

“You never see a gay actor getting asked what it’s like to play straight — to my knowledge, at least, there is no difference in how heterosexual and homosexual people fall in love.”

On Not Watching Himself In The Potter Franchise

“I certainly wouldn’t watch number three, I wouldn’t watch the first two, I wouldn’t watch four. I might watch five. I definitely wouldn’t watch six.”
