This morning, I was brought alert by a tweet from co-host Tom Bergeron of Dancing With The Stars when he said that the votes had been flip flopping all night long and tonight would be one of those shocking eliminations. Publicity or the truth? You’ll have to find out. Unfortunately, Rock Week continues and the show is opened once again by KISS. Thankfully, the pros brought their performance of Lick It Up to life.
Right after the opening performance, we were introduced to our first couples to face elimination: Gavin Degraw & Karina Smirnoff and Melissa Gilbert and Maks Chmerkovskiy. But, Melissa is noticeably absent from the episode. After last night’s performance, Melissa felt dizzy after bumping her head on the floor and was rushed to the ER. Her doctor advised her to take the night off after suffering a concussion. It is still undetermined if she will be returning at this point. Yikes! Check out KISS’ opener, Melissa’s ER trip plus the shocking elimination below.

Gavin & Karina – SAFE
Melissa & Maks – SAFE
After all of Melissa’s drama and the shock of these two couples being safe, Donald Driver & Peta Mergatroyd were awarded by the judges with an encore performance of their paso doble from last night. A great choice! Following this, three more couples faced the threat of elimination including my prediction, Gladys Knight. You can imagine, my jaw dropped when the results were revealed.
Gladys & Tristan – SAFE
Maria & Derek – SAFE
Jaleel & Kym – SAFE
Karina Smirnoff, Jose Manuel Carreno & The Gotan Project
One of the night’s special performances came courtesy of pro dancer Karina Smirnoff and ballet dancer Jose Manual Carreno who danced to the tango music of The Gotan Project who just happen to be one of my personal favorites. The piece was in tribute to the two’s foundation which helps people take dance classes who can’t afford the costs. Check out their sexy tango below.
After that little romp on the dance floor, the two highest scoring men in the ballroom last night were set to face elimination. The evening’s encore performer, Donald, escaped the axe but Disney star Roshon Fegan ended up in jeopardy.

Dancing With The Stars, Live In Las Vegas Teaser
This show has captivated audiences all over America so it’s only fitting that they find a permanent residence somewhere. Why not be Las Vegas? Hosted by former contestant Carson Kressley, the show features a few past pros (some you may also recognize from SYTYCD) and also includes Kyle Massey, Joey Fatone and Sabrina Bryan. After watching tonight’s teaser performance, it’s sure to be a hit. The show opens this Saturday at the new Tropicana in Vegas.
After the final performance of the night, it was time for the last three couples to face elimination and it just so happens to be some of the season’s favorite couples. Only one of them will be safe.
William & Cheryl – IN JEOPARDY
Sherri & Val – IN JEOPARDY
Katherine & Mark – SAFE
Not too much of a shocker that Katherine Jenkins was safe. She is pretty amazing so far. Shortly after, Tom and Brooke reveal that William Levy is also safe. Phew! That was a close call.
William & Cheryl – SAFE
At this point, I am really hoping that Roshon Fegan goes home. I can’t bare to think of Sherri being the evening’s victim. It all comes down to this moment below.
Bottom Two & Elimination
Roshan & Chelsie – SAFE
Sherri & Val – ELIMINATED
I honestly am IN SHOCK over this week’s elimination. How did this happen? In my opinion, Gladys should have probably been knocked out of the competition. And to be fair, I don’t think that Roshan has much of a chance left either. I don’t think he has the star power or America’s vote to hang in there. Only next week can tell. What did you think of tonight’s elimination? Sound off below. Until then, thanks for reading!
